Default problems when trying to install m-powered 7.0

I'm currently using logic on my powerbook g4 with m-audio firewire-solo. Interested in changing to pro-tools m-powered, but don't want to buy before I try =).

Downloaded the demo, but couldn't even get through the installation process. When the installation comes to the "searching harddrive"-face, it just halts. What the computer does is building some sort of temporary file until my harddrive gets full =). It's really weird and I don't get it.

Has anyone else had this problem or know why it's behaving like this?
