quick question for 002 users

it is possible to use outboard gear while tracking using the inserts on the 002? is this done through the i/o and adat?
or are they only used to add effects to an already existent track?

it can be done if you setup your I/O correctly AND do not use low latency mode. I recommend recording unprocessed and do sweetening later. The only processing I ever do on the way in is light compression on vocals and bass by inserting a comp in my external mic pre insert point.

agreed. i only want to add slight compression to a snare and kick. can you (or anyone) recommend a resource for learning the proper i/o set-up?
