Default need a bit of help with pro tools HD?

Hi I want to use Logic 8 on my G5 as the front end and use TDM plugins, what exactly would i need?
The HD interface and an Accel card for my mac? or do u need the Core card and accel card? Ive ben told a couple of different things by differnt people. help would be much appriciated

Depends on which plug-ins you want to use as some will only run on the accel dsp cards in which case you would need both and to be honest you wouldn't get a huge amount of dsp power just running a core card. My advice would be to stay away from TDM plug-ins unless you need them for tracking purposes or are going to move over to pro-tools and spend the money instead on well coded plug-ins like the native Waves stuff and the most powerful G5 you can lay your hands on.
