what is a Digitranslator??

I recently upgraded to 7.4 le from 7.0 and when beginning a session in pro tools I get a message telling me to authorize/try digitranslator as my session is booting up. I have tried to authorize it but it tells me I can't. When you buy the upgrade, is digitranslator included in the upgrade price?????????????. I can't remember exactly but I think the Digitranslator has to be recognized through an I LOCK key. I have an I lock key that I purchased way back to enable me to use the SANS AMP plug in. Can I also use this same I lock Key to authorize the DIgitranslator if it is an important thing to with regards to Audio Application????????????

Digitranslator is only included with the DV Toolkit or Complete Toolkit (both extra purchases), or can be purchased separately. It does not come with the standard protools software, but it is on the installer disc for convenience for people who do have it. Sounds like you installed it by accident. To get rid of the authorization popup window, on your mac hard drive, go into: Applications>Digidesign>protools>OMF Bundle. Drag the OMF Bundle to the trash.
