Pro Tools First - AAE -6117 Error

Hi everyone,

I have an AudioBox 1818VSL interface by PreSonus which I use to record audio with StudioOne.

I recently installed Pro Tools First and receive an AAE -6117 error. I have the latest driver installed for my interface and have reinstalled it a number of times. I have pressed and held the 'n' key on startup but nothing happens.

My PC has an AMD A6-6420K CPU if that helps.

I would like to get Pro Tools First working before I buy Pro Tools 12.

How can I fix this error? I should also mention that it works fine on my brother's PC which has an Intel i5 Core CPU.

That error code is a "Device not found" error. So you have tried the N key and what happened then? Inside PT have you set your interface to VSL and restarted your computer?

What happens of you open PT with no interface, just ASIO4ALL as a sound device?

Nothing happens when I pressed 'n'. It tries to load as normal and gives me the -6117 error.

I can't set the interface in Pro Tools. It loads up and gives me the error. I can't go anywhere inside Pro Tools.

Is there anything wrong with my current setup in regards to running Pro Tools First?

Well i am a bit stumped why it says 15GB Ram and it is 4x4 GB sticks.

Other wise I can't really see a showstopper with that report.

Have you tried to take out two sticks and see of one of then are broken!?

No I haven't tried that yet. I will though.

I was a bit surprised when it said 15GB as well. Windows takes some memory for itself doesn't it?

Is my CPU chipset compatible with it?
