ProTools works fine, but audio to everything else is gone

Hello,
My first thread. I read through the other posts and didn't see this same issue mentioned...

Just installed Pro Tools First and all seemed to be working great, until I went to listen to a YouTube tutorial on ProTools with ProTools open. It turns out that all sound media seems to be turned off when ProTools is running. I can't listen to any sound from a web browser, or iTunes, or Windows Media Player. However, as soon as I shut down ProTools everything else works again.

I am running Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) with 12 gigs of Ram and plenty of hard drive space available. I have an NVidia Quadro 600 video card.

Pro Tools uses ASIO, which is single client (can only accept input from one program at a time).

This is how I have my system setup:

Pro Tools set to use my interface as its IO (Project Mix IO)
Windows set to use my sound card (Creative Audigy)
Use an ouput from your interface (I use SPDIF) to an input on your sound card
Speakers connected to your sound card

With this setup all sounds will still come out your speakers, but Windows leaves your interface alone.
