Mov video has speed pitch difference 44/48k
I imported a *.mov video file with unknown audio sample rate to a PT10 session template I made that was set for 48k. I have a MOTU A4V connected to an approved Dell Win7 and the MOTU shows on it's display it is synchronized at 48k. I have an external clock set to 48k that drives the MOTU. Cool. But the MOV file plays back at a higher pitch. When I bounce with MOV to finish the movie sound track with picture, what I hear during the bounce is not what I hear when I play the move in a MOV player. Pitch change between 44/48. When I reset the Clock speed, the MOTU, and Protools to 44 it says it can not set the session as asked and will abort with a save option. Is there a conflict in the MOV audio that conflicts with the sample rate I choose in PT10? Must they match? I have the convert 44/48 option in the MOTU to ON. I tried off and I am confused. What should all the settings be at for a 44 or 48 session.
