Pro Tools First don't launch
Hi,
My Pro Tools First won't launch at all. After start it initializes audio card, stops there and gives error message: 'Your audio device is configured with unsupported audio buffer size. Please select one of the following supported buffer sizes in the device control panel: 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, or 2048.' I am using Windows audio card for playback and edit recordings. (of course i carry only laptop with me and not whole recording studio ) HOW to setup windows audio card buffer size. I have no idea. I am using Windows 7 64 bit Enterprise version. Laptop is DELL Latitude E5440. Audio card is Realtek |

Re: Pro Tools First don't launch
Hi and Welcome
On Windows you might need to download Asio4All to use the internal audio. I think you should try downloading from www.asio4all.com which is free and try to setup the PT|First when you installed that driver.

Re: Pro Tools First don't launch
Hi,
I actually tried to install Asio4all but that didn't help. ProTools first don't launch asio4all driver because icon won't appear to task bar of windows. And I also forgot to mention in my earlier message that PT first shuts down after error message. I have to click OK in that erro rmessage and then PT closes. I installed PT to computer to check what kind of program this is because I was thinking to change DAW for my studio. I am using presonus studio one 3 now and that program has no problems with my laptop audio card. I was ready to pay version of pro tools but this doesn't look so good now. Re: Pro Tools First don't launch
Hello makpet,
Hold the N key down immediately after launching until the Playback Engine window opens to select your device. Hope this helps. Good luck, RC |

Re: Pro Tools First don't launch
WHY does it seem to always stop here w/ NO solution?
I'm using a Focusrite 2i4, a Sound Blaster Z-Series and VoiceMeeter Virtual Audio Mixer as my devices w/ all of my other programs w/ NO problems - yet I can't even OPEN Pro Tools First... |
