Default Feature request pertaining to Preview mode

Can there be an option added so that after using preview, and punching in the change, that after stopping or automatching, the channel changes back to the original automation mode.
It's really annoying having to reset channels back to touch, after using preview to do a fix or change.

Hi Mark,
What mode does the channel change to after punch preview? Over here it just reverts to it's original state. For me, this is touch latch. What version of tools are you using?
Best,
Brandon

I'm in v 7.2 and it stays in latch mode, after having been in touch mode.
Is there a preference setting I'm not aware of?

Hi Mark,
I thought their was. I just checked and the pref I was thinking of is for write passes "after write pass change to latch". I work with preview all the time and have never seen this behavior. Did they change the way preview mode works in 7.3? I'm on 7.4. I can preview and punch all day long everything still stays in touch/latch. Sorry I can't help more.
Best,
Brandon

I'm having this in PT 8 now, wher eafter punching preview my tracks are changed to Latch.

I was working on 7.4 previously, and this didn't happen. Is this a bug fix that needs to happen DIGI??
