Default Disappearing Plug In Preset Lists

Hello

Imported some session data from another studio into my session today, now all my preset lists are missing from my plug ins. How do I sort that out?

Kind regards and many thanks.

Hi,

I think if you open up a plugin and under the pull down menu where it has "settings preferneces"! there is "set root settings folder"

Now i think thats it, but not totally sure

do you have the same problem in a new session?

If so you may want to check the permissions on the Library>Application Support>Digidesign>Plug-in Settings folder. The owner should be set to your username, and the group should be set to admin in the "details" section. Read/Write access should be enabled for both.

trashing the Pro Tools preference file (see the troubleshooting thread) can sometimes resolve this as well.

regards,

many thanks for the replies.

indeed trashing the prefs did the trick.

simply re-assigning the folder did not work.

in the interest of helping others in this case the problem started after importing m powered 7.0 session data, saved as 6.9, into a 6.9 session on another rig.

kind regards.
