Default New iLok or Old one ???

OK I did search, but couldn't find anything.

Q: Do I need the New iLok to run WIN7 64 Bit with PTLE 002, v8.05, or is the New iLok just for PT 11 ???

Did a new install, it's not real stable yet, I messed it up installing Autotune 4 to WIN 7, I've got to update that, then I think it'll be fine.

Thanks,

Russ

you should be OK but some newer compiles of plug-ins require a v2 ilok but you being on 8 I think you are OK

New I-lok 2 as of Pt 10 if memory serves, which sometimes it doesn't. What was my name again? Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah...the new one is about 1/4th the size of the old one, which makes it less prone to accidental damage, and holds something like 5 times as many authorizations. And I believe Eventide will sell you an I-lok 2 for around $12 with a plugin purchase. So if you were looking for a good excuse to get the Omnipressor...

PT11 is the only version that requires iLok2 as far as PT is concerned, but there are many(more each month) plugins that are also requiring iLok2. Slate often has special deals that include a free iLok2 and they have some excellent plugins, so that's where I would go(VCC, or VTM or FG-X are all worth having).
