Default you know a company overcharge due to it's status and name

When they charge 3550 for 64 gig of ram ( on their site 64GB (8x8GB) [Add $3,550.00]), without giving you any information on the model, and speed. and that by doing just a little search you find this

or even better

The difference must be for the 'Arctic Cooling'

BTW, is anybody building system x79 platform for PT? If so how are they running, I'd be interested to know.

I was thinking of starting a new build in April, and using my current Audio PC for VI's, but I am going to hold off, need hardware.

I was recently quoted $415 to install a heatsink on an HD Native card by Avid. By looking at the pic on Avid's website i managed to make out the model of the heatsink. googled it and found the company that makes it. The price was $8.30. It comes with the thermal grease already applied the hooks and the pin to hold it. lol. so all you pretty much have to do is hook it up and get back to work. 5 mins tops to install it. lmao
