Default PT 11 native vs HDX

Ok guys been reading a lot about PT 11 and its new features. I track a lot through plugins and like the idea of the dual buffer feature when recording through plugs in the native version. What is confusing me now is if this works as well as avid say. What would be the advantages of HDX. I currently use a TDM rig which is very solid and stable plus gives me the great low latency when tracking through plugs. I'd love to upgrade to PT11 after about 6 months of it being released so all the bugs are ironed out. Running an Accel 7 rig if I was going to go the HDX route what would I gain compared to just native or HD native come to think of it???

If I trade in my TDM rig (I can only trade in 3 cards for one HDX card) and it would cost me nearly £5000. So I just trying to justify and upgrade and what I would be getting extra for my money

I think they are putting up a comparison chart and FAQ like they usually do, but I have no idea when.

Dying to see this. I was expecting to see it the same day of announcement. I have been digging around for as much info as possible, but it seems that most upgrades and features are exclusively for HD.

Hdx 2 will give you twice the voice count as native. Hdx, in general, is lower latency then 32 sample buffer but that might be semantic as I'm not sure anyone can hear a .5 ms difference.

When I moved from Native to HDX, for the sessions I was creating, I realized the benefit of the DSP taking on "mixer" overhead. I don't know what "Mixer" means exactly, yet it took away some amount of load on the CPU (Native). For me this was a significant improvement. As an example a session at approx 70% CPU (Native) dropped down below 30%.

The other improvement with HDX and the later version of PT10 was the side chain delay compensation via sends.... I almost get the impression this will be a non issue with PT11 for all configurations.

With what I've seen in the video/webcast for PT11 it would appear the CPU (Native) has been significantly optimized. I am assuming then this will only benefit the CPU (Native) that much more for HDX also. Someone explained to me an HDX1 is Native + DSP... Given the new buffer optimization for inputs and output the need for DSP may be much less.

The question I have, on Windows for my system, I could reliably run and monitor plug-ins at 32 buffers with Native. PT10 HDX only allows a minimum of 64 buffers on my Windows system. My understanding, which could be wrong, is HDX on Mac can go to 32 buffers. Does anyone know what PT11 will support for minimum buffers with HDX on a Windows system?

Can anyone who knows say if a user will still have to trash their DAE Prefs/Databases/Preferences with PT11 just the same as we do today with PT10 when things start to get strange?

anyone that truly knows is still bound by there NDA

other than there is no more DAE, so the question is will we have to deal with tossing AAE Prefs regularly
hopefully the new code cleans a lot of this up
