Yup, Im awaiting the official announcement, however, with the release information and pricing structure readily available everywhere, I was hoping to see the key differences without having to hear the whole presentation, to then MAYBE learn the uniqueness of the two.

What about the import from session features where you can import various settings, plugins, automation, etc as opposed to just importing tracks with or without audio? Or is that part of the CPTK HD only now?

Edited and added later:

I answered my question myself. PT 11 is gonna make Reaper a lot of money.

I've heard that Avid is forcing its PT10 Education owners to pay for the upgrade to PT11, too. Any truth in this?

I purposely bought PT10 Education because Avid screwed me over having bought the full version of PT9 before its release. I was ensured 4 years of free upgrades with my Educational license, which is the ONLY reason I would've invested in an Avid product again.

Completely BS if this is true. If I have to pay again for an upgrade to PT11, I'm just going to sell my license and Avid will never see my money again. Perfectly happy using Cubase, Sonor, Logic or Reaper, with a company who isn't full of money-hungry crooks and actually values their customers.

Apparently I am money hungry because I want my customers to pay me for my work.

Yep It reminds me of a line from the Magnificent Seven.

Has anybody seen a comprehensive list of differences between 11 and 11HD?

There should be something available but I cant find anything on this. The new features seem great, but I want to know what is bound for HD only.... Ay caramba!

We are continuing to honor the terms that you purchased under.

New purchases will have different terms.

We will be posting more info about upgrades and pricing so please look for that info.
