Default error message (-9073)??

Hello,
I'm trying to bounce a track and get an error message at 5:10 and everything stops. I even created a new session and imported the track and got the same message at the same location. Here is the message:

DAE can't get audio from the drive(s) fast enough. Your drive may be too slow or fragmented, or a firewire drive could be having trouble due to the extra firewire bandwidth or CPU load. (-9073)

What should I do?

Ouch, that's an ancient setup. You're not running the session off the internal HD, are you? If so, get an external drive for PT sessions.

Hi Ben,
Thanks for the reply! I'm running the session onto an external drive.
Now what do I do?

Well, time for general troubleshooting.
Have you changed anything in your setup lately?
What's your playback engine buffer size?
Open the session while pressing shift, opens session with plugins bypassed.
Your setup is old, so it's difficult to say what's happening.
Perhaps you've simply reached the limits of what it can handle.
See the "Help us help you" in the header of every DUC page for much more troubleshooting tips.
Good luck.
