Default super cheap buying guide - help?

Hey digi users,

I'm a newcomer to this group and could use some advice. I bought an mbox to help me mix the soundtracks for a couple 16mm short films. So far, its been working great except that I have no monitors to finish the mix. My consumer headphones just aren't cuttin it. Since these are low budget films, I dont have to compete with professional standards. Can anyone suggest a pair of powered speakers that will be work(under 200 bucks)? The edirol ma-10 digitals look appealing since they fit my budget.

Also, is there any advantage to using s/pdif for monitoring?

Tx in advance
