Problems with I/0 w/002 and PT 9 - HELP!
Hey guys,
I need help! Something is awry and we've got a bunch of sessions on the immediate horizon. So Protools (and Logic) have both stopped recognizing the I/O of our 002r. The computer recognizes that the 002 is connected, but when I open PT 9, it somehow defaults to "Protools Aggregate I/O" and won't let me use our normal settings, which are 8 i/o from the 002, 8 ADAT from a Presonus Digimax FS, and 2 s/pdif from a DBX 386, totaling 18 i/o. It only will recognize analog 1-4 as inputs and 1&2 as outputs. Even when I choose "last saved settings" and the other i/o are displayed, they're grey and inactive. Nothing seems to change when clocking internally or to the Digimax. When opening Logic, the sound that comes through every track when playing is a sort of consistent yet stuttery garble sound. I don't really know how to describe it better than that. When opening the Mac System Preferences > Audio window and setting the i/o to the 002, the input meter in the input window shows what looks like that garbling sound. I am utterly confused and frustrated. Does anyone have any wisdom they can impart?? Thanks in advance! |
