New Marker behviour: control + click
I used to be able to control + click on a marker in the marker window (pre 2023.6) and the marker would move to the current playback head location. This behaviour seems to have changed in the current version of PT. Is this just me or is this a new thing behaviour?

Re: New Marker behviour: control + click
Still works for me here on 2023.6. My marker snapped to the edit cursor with control+click... Maybe something peculiar about your window configuration or edit prefs or modes?

Re: New Marker behviour: control + click
You used to have to hit "enter".
Now it goes right there. I like it this way, but have to retrain my brain to not hit enter |

I noticed the same change. I kind of liked the old way. Would be cool if this was a preference.

Re: New Marker behviour: control + click
"do or undo" would seem more consistent across similar editing behaviors.
Rather than "confirm, do, then maybe undo anyway" which is technically redundant. Muscle memory likes things, I agree, but the change makes sense, too. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk

Re: New Marker behviour: control + click
I prefer the old system. I use the Memory Locations window and I used to be able to ctrl-click on an entry there, get the memory location dialog up and then pressing return or enter would move that location to the cursor.
It's a bit unnerving when in order to ctrl-click on the marker you have to go find it on the timeline, potentially scrolling the edit point off the screen - because you can't select it from the memory locations list because that would move the edit point... The original behaviour does still work if the memory location is a selection.

Re: New Marker behviour: control + click
I've got used to using command+enter to get a new memory location to default to 'track' in the dialog box and I'm using that all the time. What I really wish is for a similar modifier to make it default to 'selection' instead of having to click the tiny (on a 4K display) button.
And since I'm indulging in wishful thinking, it would be great to be able to set up a selection that was track-based; kind of as if it created invisible track markers at the beginning and end of a selection so it grew and shrank and moved around as the track is edited. And I still want ctrl-click in the memory locations list to move the location like it used to...

Re: New Marker behviour: control + click
I wanted to update this thread with the new information I got from AVIDs support. It seems this is a change in marker behavior that was intended in 2023.6 and not a bug. So…. I guess I’ll stick with my hacky workaround.
