No Sound

Just bought Pro Tools 8 M-powered. Just did the update and I have no freaking sound coming out. I just went to a premade with the midi drums it plays but no sound I tried using the computer speakers, my monitors, and I plugged my monitors into my Fast Track and nothing. I am using an iMac OS X running Snow Leopard. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a little unclear from your post exactly what you're doing, but it sounds like you're using a MIDI file and expecting to hear something, yes?

If that the case - the problem is that MIDI is just data and you will only hear something if you have that MIDI data trigger either a software or hardware synth/sampler.

Can you give us more specifics about what you're doing - what kind of track you're using, if this is actually a MIDI file, do you have a synth/sampler plug-in on the track, etc.

Typically you would use an Instrument track, put your MIDI file on it, then insert a synth plug-in such as XPand and selecting the sound in the synth you want the MIDI file to play.
