'Bounce To QuickTime' - no "source" options at all!
It was working fine the other day, but some interface switcheroos seems to have messed something up since the I/O setup keeps changing. Basically, the 'Source' drop down box is simply blank on the Bounce to QT dialogue box... clicking on it does nothing. Obviously it won't let me bounce because you need to have SOMETHING selected in 'Source.' It's working fine for BTD, I'm not sure why BTQT is being temperamental. Any ideas?
FYI my I/O setup is really simple for outputs - one LCR out at the moment, with all channels going to that. Have the Neyrinck Soundcode Stereo on the master and am trying to do a "stereo" QT for director approval... |

Re: 'Bounce To QuickTime' - no "source" options at all!
If Bounce to disk is working, try this trick: select Bounce to disk, select outputs/source (select a STEREO source, no LCR or 5.1 outs), click OK, and, when it starts bouncing, hit Escape.
Now, try Bouncing to QT Movie. Any better?

Re: 'Bounce To QuickTime' - no "source" options at all!
Thanks, gave that a go just now but no luck... still no options in the 'Source' box... did a full BTD a while ago and it is working absolutely fine...
Any other ideas welcome! |

Re: 'Bounce To QuickTime' - no "source" options at all!
It's probably related to the Neyrink plug then. BTQM can't work with multi-channel outs (stereo max).
Maybe you can try to create a sub stereo path (to your LCR out) and see what happen. But I'm afraid BTQM won't work has long as you don't have a "real" stereo output (not a multi-channel reduction from LCR to stereo).

Ok, that could be it. I'll re-route some I/O and let you know.
Seems like a slightly silly restriction though, I can't imagine why this couldn't be technically capable of doing what I want to achieve. Oh well... Thanks for your help! |

Re: 'Bounce To QuickTime' - no "source" options at all!
I might be wrong but I don't think QT is able to deal with interleaved multi-channel audio files, except in AC3 format.
In PCM, I think it's either stereo interleaved or multi-mono (1track=1file) when exporting from FCP for example.
