Re: Native Instruments Latency
hi
You must use asio drivers for playng soft synths in real time ! If you use Digi001...then man sorry...but there is no asio drivers for it

Re: Native Instruments Latency
If its the VST version of the NI B4 then your out of luck in PT LE, you will need an ASIO sound card. Looks like there are TDM/RTAS versions of some of the native instruments, but only for MAC. grrrr ...
I have worked around the ASIO problem by setting up my spare latop (IBM 380Z) as a midi module. It runs the VST instruments and things like Reason and then PT LE speaks to it over MIDI (clock/stop/start, etc.) Good luck !

Re: Native Instruments Latency
I picked up a second soundcard, an Audiophile 2496, for about $120 (I think). I use it for asio stuff, and steam the outputs back into the Digi001. Works fine.

Re: Native Instruments Latency
Vouts,
Hi. The first time I installed Reaktor it did the same time. Turned out there was an adjustment in Reaktor to speed it up. I pushed it down to about 100mS and things were fine. On a 500MHz P3 pushing it too much further caused clicks and pops. Look somewhere under the MIDI Setup and see if you can find somethin similar. Take care, Mark |
