Problem running at 48k on M-Audio FW1814
Hi,
A friend of mine reports that he can't create a new session at anything but 44.1kHz on M-Powered with an M-Audio FW1814 as the interface of choice. I haven't had a chance to actually see the setup, but I trust he knows how to set his things up, and this seems like a very unlikely restriction caused by either hardware of software. The hardware can most definitely run at 48k, though, through my jostling between HD and LE, I forget if M-Powered has this kind of limitation. I seriously doubt it. Off the top of my head, I can't quite guess what the problem could be. Any ideas? |

Re: Problem running at 48k on M-Audio FW1814
I think I observed once that if the 1814 is externally clocked, you can only create a session at the rate that it's synced at. My guess is that if there's something that has control of the 1814 and PT can't take control and change the rate, PT seems to be unable to create a session at anything other than the running rate. I'm guesssing it could also occur if software has set the clock rate - maybe the system sounds, or something like that. I didn't really explore it in depth because it seemed to make sense at the time.
