Default setting a default location for bounced files?

Is there a way to set a default location?

this would be most convenient, especially for MP3 bounces for clients

Sadly I don't think there is(maybe someone will prove me wrong). By default, it goes to the audio files folder of the session. I always bounce to the desktop, unless I have a folder on the desktop for a whole project(more than a single song).

I never bounce to the Audio folder -- usually there are way too many files there to easily find anything. Since I most often create a new project for each song, I bounce to the project folder. That way the bounce gets backed up with the project and is much easier to find later...

Personally I usually create a folder called "bounces" inside of the audio folder - like others have said, this is tidy and "keeps it all in one place" for easy backup.

there is a mac utility that does this;
in fact you can create all sorts of defaults and work flow shortcuts...
if interested i can try to find and post back.

Yah know... having a pref to set the default BNC location so say the Desktop, the Project folder or the Audio files folder (or another user defined location) would be nice.... Or automatically creating a Bounces folder in the Project folder and putting a check box in the Save/Export/Import dialogs

Its not like we have never seen posts like "WTF! Bounces are missing!" or anything.

Indeed! Sounds like a feature request for a future update.
