Default Does upgrading to 7.4 =a free 7.4.x Leopard compatible ??

Hey

There is nothing written (in the Digidesign site) about when, and if a future PT HD 7.4.x Leopard compatible version will be free of charge for someone who bought the 7.4 upgrade today,

Any idea?

Hi,

Its usual for Mac OS update compatible version to be complimentary for owners of the "latest" version of PT. (currently 7.4)

Probably something like 7.4.2 will be Leopard compatible then 7.5 will be leaopard only! don't quote me this is just a rough guess!!!!

Chris

Thanks Crizdee for your reply!

I do hope you are guessing right and a 7.4.x Leopard compatible version will be available ....

but I would like to see a Digidesign official reply to this question.
They could, if they wanted, mention in their site that a 7,4 owner will get a free Leopard compatible version.

I have heard at a DIGI demo event that the Leopard version would be available by January.

I think that would be a guess or wishful estimate. Anyway, I'm guessing 7.4 owners should get a Leopard-compatible update once it's tested throughly.

It would depend on whether there are significant new features or it just brings Leopard compatibility.

I would guess just the same; although (naturally) we only get confirmation for this once the Leopard-compatible build is released and not a day before.
