Will this system work? iMac plus Glyph 050Q
I'm looking at the following for ProTools 8.0 LE/Mbox2:
Code:
iMac 21.5"/3.06 GHz/4GB RAM/500GB Hard Drive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M Glyph GT 050Q 500GB (Oxford 924 external F/W) I know that Snow Leopard is not fully supported but is it safe to assume that it will be at some time? Thanks, Dan |

Re: Will this system work? iMac plus Glyph 050Q
It should be a solid system once PT and SL get along(I wouldn't think it should be much longer for Avid to issue an update for SL). The Glyph drives have always been considered excellent for audio recording. If you are thinking about this purchase, you should check out the newest iMac quad core. Even if the speed is slower(GHz) I would expect better performance from the quad(still go with 4 gig if RAM).
