Hi,

We have completed the migration of the user conference from the old UBB Threads forum software to vBulletin forum software. We have also done server upgrades at the same time.

We chose to migrate all of the previous posts, user names, passwords, etc. from the previous forums. In doing so, some things may not transfer the same as before.

For instance, there are some odd bits and pieces of ubb code and html floating around in a few posts. It also appears that user "favorite threads" did not migrate. The new forum software uses "subscriptions" to a thread. Our apologies for the extra work on your part, but you will need to subscribe to threads using the instructions here. The good news is that the forum overall and searches are much faster. You should be able to find your favorites using the search tools.

As with the previous forum, we have setup the new forum with minimal clutter (no avatars or image attachments in posts).


Contacting Forum Members
Private messages are not enabled on the Avid Audio Forums, due to the large number of registered members and the resources that would be required to oversee unwanted messages.

However, instant messaging options and contact by email are available, if the user has enabled these options in their public profile.

If a member chooses to be contacted, they need to enable these options in their public profile in the “Contact Info” section.

Click on the User CP link at the upper left of the forums to go to your User Control Panel. (You must have an account registered on the forum, and you must be logged in)

Email Messages
You can allow other members to send you email messages in this section:

Your Control Panel > Your Profile > Settings & Options > Edit Options
Receive Email from Other Members

Instant Message
If you wish to add instant messaging contact info in your own public profile:

Your Control Panel > Your Profile > Edit Your Details
Instant Messaging
You may enter your registered identity for instant messaging networks if you would like other visitors to be able to contact you using that medium.
