Default new m-box / laptop set up

Just got an M-box and found that neither my laptop or home computer can quite run Pro-Tools without a lot of system errors. Looking to get a laptop so I'm portable since I spend time on the road, and am pretty open to Mac or PC since I'm starting from the ground up. New to the forum and have looked through the postings but there's just too much to sort through. Any suggestions on new laptops....

Most of the answers about laptops can be found in the Best Laptops thread

Seems like people are having success with the eMachines 6811

Hey Clouse....

The above laptop will work very well with Pro Tools. Should run you around $1200.00? I think upgrading that laptop did nothing as far as performance. Might as well just return the ram along with that laptop and get that Emachienes.

your drummer,

Brandon

BTW... Im hoping on having a final mix of that song we did last week in a few days, Then IntelDoc will do a quick master. So far, its sounding quite amazing.
