Trying to look for a specific driver for the 192 I/O but can't find it.
I believe you need to have the correct HD Driver (for your Mac OS X version and your Pro Tools version) installed, for the HD Native card to be recognised.

This is a separate download.

And, it could also be worthwhile to double-check that your Mac Pro model is OK for your HD Native card (specially if the card needs a firmware update when PTHD10/11 launches, because the card _can_ otherwise be bricked).
And also that your Mac OS X version is correct for your whole setup; the card, the HD driver and your Pro Tools version.

All this information IS on the Avid web site, but the site is not easy to navigate - and I'm sorry, I don't have any links I can give you at the moment.

Here's a link to the HD Driver download:

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...nload/en379411

There seems to be two flavours to choose from for HDX/HD Native cards with PTDHD10/11:

NOTE 1: co-install 10/11 is ONLY supported on OSX 10.8 (read carefully!) -
NOTE 2: neither are to be used with TDM systems :

1) http://akmedia.digidesign.com/suppor...80781.dmg?ns=1

For Pro Tools HD 11.1 (10.3.8 co-install supported, OS X 10.8 only)
For Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks or 10.8 Mountain Lion
Do NOT run on HD TDM systems

2) http://akmedia.digidesign.com/suppor...80529.dmg?ns=1

For Pro Tools HD 11.0.0 - 11.0.3 (10.3.6 - 10.3.7 co-install supported, OS X 10.8 only)
For Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks or 10.8 Mountain Lion
Note: For Mac OS X 10.9.1 Mavericks and later, please use the 11.1 HD Driver (above).
Do NOT run on HD TDM systems

Ehm, as far as I remember, the blue interfaces are not supported with Pro Tools 11, right?

Did you find a solution to this?

Not supported means can work or it can't. If the user stays on 10, fine, fully supported.

My point is, if you want headaches try this kind of stuff, if not, follow the recommendations and you will have all the right to blame if it doesn't work.

My 2 cents.

Tell that to Avid which has allowed a 3rd party market to exist since HD's inception in 2002 (Apogee, Prism, etc)

Does customer service immediately blame these 3rd party interfaces and refuse to help people when they call in for help? I have no idea, would like to know.

The blue boxes are now just like those 3rd party boxes.

My point is, you can't just blame the box and not help someone can you?

How are they not? They're unsupported but work same as an Apogee or Prism box.

Yes they work, and btw, in case someone is interested, Apogee's XHD firmware v2.x makes it appear as Digi192 whereas firmware v3.x makes it appear as Avid HD
