DV Toolkit 2 not working with 7.4.2?
Trying to run 7.4.2 on OSX 10.5.3 on my macbook pro with DV toolkit 2. When I install the software (protools and DV toolikit) it launches and works fine. As soon as I quit the program and try to open it again, it will not make it through the boot window. If I reinstall everything again it works, and then as soon as I quit and relaunch, same thing.

Did you download and installed the 7.4.2 versions of the DV Toolkit? It's working fine here.

the only version I can find on the site is from November 2007

I still cannot get DV Toolkit 2 to work. I downloaded all the recent updates and it just will not launch. If I keep the key out and quit DV Toolkit when it asks for authorization, then put it in for everything else (digitranslator, TL Space, Etc) it loads fine. Running 7.4.2 on Mac 10.5.3

Have you tried trashing preferences yet? If not - start there.
If that doesn't fix it, I think you should try a clean uninstall and reinstall of Pro Tools and the DV Toolkit. Also make sure your PACE drivers are up to date - http://www.paceap.com/ |

I'll double check the pace thing. I noticed it works if I leave the key out, and then plug it in and authorize DV Toolkit manually.

Installed the latest pace drivers and deleted all the digi related prefs and it all loaded up fine. Quit and tried to relaunch and same problem. So If I delete all the prefs, it works fine but the second time I try to load the application, it quits. Same thing happens with a fresh install of protools and DV toolkit and happens under different users.

I think we need to do a manual uninstall of all the PACE/iLOk components and reinstall them.
1) Download the latest pace drivers from paceap.com (there is a pull down titled, "download drivers" for your specific platform). 2) After downloading, run the uninstaller and Restart the computer. 3) Delete these files: HD > System > Library > CFMSupport: "InterLok Engine" HD > Library > Application Support > "PACE Anti-Piracy" folder HD > Library > StartUpItems: "PACESupport" 4) Empty the Trash and Restart. 5) Re-install the latest PACE drivers. 6) Restart the computer. |
