starting work after the BA music tech...
Im 23 and on my final year of a BA music technology/production corse, i have over 3 years experince as a PT engineer and over 10 of cubase and logic type programs...
im in the UK and would love to start work as an engineer in a studio in the new year... I specialise in Rock/Metal production but also come from a dance orinetated background... what do you think the chances are of studios taking me on?? what do u think ill have to do to persude them?? i know this is a little different topic but im realy gana have to start thinking about it soon! i apreiciate any help.. thanks |

I think the best thing you can do is politely, yet persistently, badger a studio owner to let you come in and work for free. You may be mopping, making coffee, etc. However, if you maintain your focus and show up on time ultimately you will have a shot at getting behind the board.
