Default so i don\'t check this forum for weeks at a time...

i didn't realize we got another upgrade(5.1.1)....

so, i tried downloading it. When i try, it says the site has been redesigned recently and that the page has moved. So, uh..digidesign, where is it now?

Are they sending this upgrade out like 5.1 was sent out(slowly)? If they are, i might as well not check my mail until September.

is the program any better now? I downloaded the PDF file about it. It doesn't seem to add much. And i have just about every plug-in that is available for the system, so 2 new plug-ins are no big deal. Should i download it(if i can ever find it)?

IMO the trim plugin they include in the new upgrade is a blessing for getting things to the right level for recording, then ditch it once you start mixing. Other than that, I can't see too much difference to it, except now the aux tracks come in at inf instead of 0, and it warns you if adding another plugin will change the following plugins.

Click on the 'support' icon at the top of this page, then click on 'downloads' then at top of that page is 'featured download 5.1.1 'click on that and then choose compatable format to download. You'll need your serial no: to be able to download for free. Good luck

The page is working. You might be looking at a cached page in your browser with a broken link.

Try going directly to this link: http://www.digidesign.com/download/511/

If that works, then you may need to open your browser preferences, empty your browser cache, and set to update "Always" or "once per session" if it is set to Never, so that other pages show up properly.

go to Tools then Internet Options... a dialog box appears... In the general tab, in the "temporary internet files" you will see a "settings" button... click it...

Then a new dialogbox appears... with the cache settings right on top.

Just go to the home page, www.digidesign.com

The link to the download is right there and it appears to be working. I just checked it.

Hope this helps.
