Default Sample Rate Problem...Prefs?

I have a guy sending me vocals. He uses PT LE, I am on Logic.

He sent me some files the other day, and instead of his normal 44.1/24 bit files, they were showing up when imported into Logic as 48 files which I had to convert. I told him, and he said "Oh yeah, I did a session at 48 a few days ago, I'll set it back to 44.1."

Today he sent more files, they still are at 48. When I told him, he sent me a screenshot showing PT set at 44.1.

I'm thinking maybe he needs to trash his prefs, but I can't remember in PT where you find them....

Any advice appreciated..

Thanks
Tom

It's not a pref issue, he screwed up.

Indeed. No matter what the session might be set to, if it is clocked from an external digital connection, it could be wrong anyway. Maybe try importing the audio files but deselect the CONVERT on Import function.

It turned out to be prefs, relaunched PT after trashing prefs and all was well.

Strange one!
