Default Does HD2 Accel has enough DSP power for.......

Does HD2 Accel system has enough DSP power for to handle 30-40 tracks of audio with some plugins at 96kh???
I curently have MIX 3 system and i was wondering in real mixing world ,upgrading to HD2 accel, will i gain or lose dsp power.I know that HD sounds better than MIX,but my main concern is DSP at 96kh
Thanks guys!!!

Yep.
@ 96k, 48 voices: 40 mono tracks, 16 aux inputs.
3 chips used @ 100%
1 chip Stereo Mixer @ 55%

Leaving 6 Accel chips and 8 HD chips for plugs.

6 Accel chips ...

take a look and see which chips they are ... if you have read some of the other posts you will see that Accel is like mix and has 2 different types of chips ... being a mix owner you know what happens when you run out of DSP for one kind of chip and still have several chips that are empty ... same deal with Accel ...

peace john

just be careful ... it is one step forward and two steps back ...

But HD2 Accel can actually play back 96 tracks at 96K total though...

Sorry, I'll be a bit more specific.
For the sake of answering the original Q:

Set @ 96k / 48 voice, 40 tracks, 16 Aux inputs.

HD card has one HD Engine @100% leaving 8 HD chips.
Accel card has one HD Engine @100% on an HD chip, one Stereo Mixer @ 100% and one Stereo Mixer @ 55% both on Accel chips. Leaving one HD chip on the Accel card and 5 Accel chips on the Accel card.

Total chips free:
9 HD chips
5 Accel chips.
Still that is more than a few plug-ins if you optimize plug-in sharing.
