Mix plus, 3 dsp farm cards, worth having dsp cards?
I have a mix plus (mix core and mix farm) and three dsp farm cards in a chassis running 6.4.1. Other than I/O, are the dsp farm cards even worth having? I have only two 888/24's and don't need the dsp farm cards for other I/O. And I was told some older plugins work on them, like d2/d3 and others. But when I enable those plugins, they use mix dsp chips. Let's just say that I have maxed out my mix core and farm, and then want to use a d2 or d3, would they go to the dsp farms, or would they not load due to lack of dsp power? Thanks!
