OMNI - "control-able mic gain?

does anybody know if omnis micpre-gains are control-able/remote-able within pro tools´ GUI.

Anyone figured out the remote port function yet?
Maybe it's possible that way.

In post world it means we have to buy expensive digilink cable from the machine room to the studio, be pleased by the fan noise of the omni, and some more audio cable to get back to the machine room...

Digi is it planned to be integrated any time soon or do we skip the omni in post world?

Right now the remote port has no purpose, but hopefully they put in there for a reason and will be making something to use it for.

I thought I read somewhere that the preamps are controllable from an Icon control surface, but I could be wrong.

Haven't come across any info about icon being able to control the omni.
All PT control surfaces are able to control the PRE though midi only.

Digi could we have a yes or no please is it meant to be remote controlable in the near future or should we really forget it for 1 room post studio's.
And if possible the cabling schemes...
