io settings S/PDIF port greyed out... HELP!

somewho now in my io setup my S/PDIF port is greyed out and i cannot find how to update the io settings to expose it again. the short and long of it is that i use the port with my POD Pro and i must have changed something somewhere to deactivate it. did i? can you do that? is so how can i revert it? i can find no way to un-grey it and make it available again.

Something to do with Setups > Playback Engine, I would suggest. Try altering Optical format to ADAT (maybe Enable spdif mirroring)... If its not like that already. That can do things like you describe.

it will save/close seesion and ungrey
the optical option box
also check SPDIF format required by POD
