Yosemite support with EuCon

The sad thing is that Yosemite had a public beta; so while I sympathize for the Euphonix team that got sucked up into Avid's MO, we have ultimately decided to move to a product that isn't so hostile to options outside the "Avid" ecosystem.

It's a shame; they really are such great units, and as someone who owns several "Euphonix" branded ones, a unfortunate series of developments post-avid acquisition.

I do wish the team and users all the best in the end. I just need a working, pain-free control surface.

BUMP!!! Would really love a Yosemite-freindly Eucon.

Our new Mac Pros (x2) exhibit tons of issues on Mavericks. But on Yosemite with PT 11.3.1, things are much more stable in our C|24 room. Would really like to get our Artist Mix room up to the same level of stability.

Pleeeeeeeeeease??

10.3 is going to be released in a couple of days and still no sign of life from AVID's Euphonix team.

I really wish they had not bought Euphonix to mess everything up. AVID really gets on my nerves more every day.

I own a Euphonix MC Control V1 for a couple of years now. What started out as a nice control surface, ended up in a useless and expensive piece of gear, soaking up space on my desk.

It never worked without problems, sometimes needed to reboot several times in order to make it work (but hey, in the end it worked). Especially after the takeover by Avid, the support towards Logic users seemed to be lacking, resulting in way more reboots and stuff.

Nowadays, after upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.1 and Logic X 10.1, nothing works anymore. Very frustrating. I have connected the MC Control to my Thunderbolt display which is connected to my MBP. I've been mangling the network settings like crazy, but without any result.

I really hope the Avid team is working their ass off for a serious solution, but I'm afraid it won't be satisfying..... I already put my unit for sale, hoping someone with Pro Tools is interested...

Are you saying that if one follows those same instructions on a machine that has upgraded from Mavericks (as opposed to a new machine with Yosemite factory installed), it doesn't work?

what´s on with the yosemite support. x.10 ist out now since october 2014 and there´s still no support for it. i can´t believe that. i always thought avid is a strong and professional company but now i couldn´t believe this any longer.
i really thought about buying an s3. but considering this horrible support, i don´t do such an investment in such a company, sorry.

I seem to have been lucky. I recently updated to a Mac Pro (trashcan) from a Mac mini. Eucon was not working in the mini. No access to layouts, eq, etc. The faders worked. Channels scrolled but little else worked.
After upping to the Mac Pro the Eucon app would not install. I was rather miffed. Uninstalled all Eucon stuff. Reinstall of the app. Still the same install refusal. As an act of last resort I decided to install the workstation app first and then the Eucontrol app second. Lo and behold. I have Eucon back and can now use the control surfaces as intended. I think this is pure luck and probably won't last but perhaps this may help others. I'm running Mac OS X 10.10.2.
