Talking confusion on problem with audio record volume error

I had to reinstall tiger 10.4.1 and I have and MBOX 1 and PT7. I installed PT and the updates to PT7 .cs10.

I got the message, Session must be on an Audio Record volume...when trying to create a new session .I looked it up and the only answer I found was to os journal my FW drive. Here is the kicker, this FW 400 drive is already formatted as MAC OS Journaled and I have been doing PT sessions for the past 4 years on it. I can get new sessions to start on a LACIE FW 800 Drive, but I am a video editor that want to keep all VO sessions on the FW 400 drive.

I don't want the pain of reformatting the FW 400 drive and having to relink all my old sessions. How do I get Pt 7.0 to allow me to make a new session on this drive. I saw something about the DVD toolkit which I didn't install. I thought that was if you had AVID.

Are you possibly on an Intel Mac? If so, you need Pro Tools 7.1.1 or higher for compatibility...

Maybe I've missed something, but have you actually tried changing it to a record volume in the Workspace window?
