Selling MBox and Factory Bundle plug-ins

Hey all,

I'm considering selling my original MBox and getting an MBox 2. According to the Transfer of Ownership guidelines on used hardware, it states that:

Digidesign will not transfer product registration for used plug-ins or other optional software from the original owner to another owner. Transfer of iLok authorizations by buyers and sellers can be done at www.iLok.com. Transfer of iLok licenses are between the individual parties. Digidesign will only register software purchased by the original owner, and only when purchased from an Authorized Digidesign Dealer.

Does this mean, that since I bought my MBox Factory Bundle as a unit, that I can break it up and sell JUST the MBox with the Protools software, and then keep the Factory Bundle plug-ins for myself, and not have to buy those with the MBox2? If I wanted?

Also, what do you think a fair price for a used original MBox would be? I was thinking mabey $200, with PT 6.9.

Hey Justice, I am seeing a lot of originals going on Ebay for $200-$300 right now. I believe with Digi's transfer terms that as long as the new owner filled out the proper paper work with you that they would be all set.

Old Mboxes are bringing $250 or so.

So, what happens to the other software that comes with the system, Reason, Ableton, T-Racks, Amplitbe,
and Sampletank?

Does that software go with the MBox, or does the buyer only get the Protools software?

I got $280 for mine with no factory bundle ... folks want those focusrite mic pres

What happens if I upgrade to PTLE7 with my current MBox, to get the two Upgrade Plus plug-ins? And then I get an MBox2 to use as my main system, and to get the Ignition pack (I'm articularly interested in the BFD and Melodyne) and then sell the original MBox. Would I have to include the two upgrade PLUS plug-ins also? Or are those mine to keep, and I just have to sell the PT7 software?
