it looks like you can get that bundle at musiciansfriend or other places for $300. how can it just work for 002? if you buy some plugs, aren't they going to work for 001 as well?

can a moderator or someone chime in on this. i get that you couldn't purchase it from digidesign without the 002 serial number as mentioned in an older post, but if you can buy it from an outside company....plugs are plugs, why wouldn't they work on an 001?

You have got the idea, you're just not seeing the forest for the trees
The plugs really have nothing to do with the 001, because they are software. So, if that is your interface and you purchase these plugins, they will work.
What Digi is saying here is that you cannot use a 001 serial number to get the discount price for the plugin bundle.
Since the AMIII doesn't have a serial number (that I know of), you can't use that either. You must have an 002, 002r, or MBox to get this plugin bundle at this price.

From what I understand, this isn't a bundle that will be put out on the shelves, so to speak. It is something you will specifically have to request, and provide the proper serial number to purchase.

you can buy it from outside without a serial number, and it's actually cheaper than on digi's site.
