Plug's tip stuck inside Mbox 2 headphones jack help!!!

Last night I was about to use my Mbox 2 with headphones, when I noticed there was something inside the jack. Apparently, my little brother plugged his headphones in and forced the plug, leaving the tip inside of the jack!

Is there anything I can do? Or just take it straight to tech support?

Aside from gently trying to fish it out with some homemade MacGyver thing, which is highly unlikely you'll be able to do, or dismantling the thing, I'd say just call tech support.

Chances are those jacks are that closed off, self contained modular kind. I don't the word for it, but it's not like the jacks you buy at Radio Shack that you could easily remove a tip from.

Sounds like little brother needs a beat-down as well.

Do you have a pair of long needle-nosed pliers? You can probably get it out with something like that.

Well thanks to your very useful advices, I twisted a very thin wire and after 2 hours, I did it!!

What came out: a metal ring and a plastic thing which I have no clue what it is!!

Next step: Beating up some sibling of mine!
