Default Seperate Headphone Level

Is there a way to increase the track level (that you are recording on) only to the headphone without increasing the entire gain of the track that's being recorded?

For example....if I'm recording vocals and I set the level perfectly for recording, then the artist says they need more vocals in the headphone...what can I do?

I'm using PT6.4 digi002

Thanks!
Kevin

Kevin,

1) if the performer is sharing your monitor mix, and you don't mind hearing more vox simply bring up the track's fader in the mixer. This will not effect recording level.
2) you could set up a separate cue mix from an another set of busses, patched out to hardware outs.
This of course will depend on your Digi hardware. Not possible on the Mbox. I think some user here posted templates and instructions on the setup. Search for "templates" or "headphone mix"

good luck,

Ok..I found that I could setup an aux channel and buss all the channels to it to create a seperate headphone mix out of one of my output 1/4" plugs.

Thanks all.
