Default Noobie bus question

Just wondering exactly what a bus is, and what they are used for.

You should really read the reference manual.

Basically, a bus is an internal send within pro tools used to send audio to places besides the master fader other analog outs.

After hitting the manual, go to youtube and search for stuff like "protools busing" and similar for some great tutorial videos.
