How you would do the final mix?
Let’s say I have a nice mix. What would be the best way to finalize the work.
1. Mix with plugs at master fader to the max, or… 2. Bounce without plugs at master with a big headroom and than try mastering on 24/44, using more plugs on just two tracks and than bounce as final into 16/44. No pro mastering is planned at this stage. Any hints? TIA |

Re: How you would do the final mix?
you will learn more about your room if you use the 24 bit mix in a mastering session because down the line you can bring new songs in that session and apply the settings to what you found was needed on other people speakers from your adjustment...
you can build a custom "MASTERING TEMPLATE" and improve on it constantly i'm not saying all songs need the same treatment but i'm saying room tend to have their tendancies
