Default is ANYBODY using FW800 out there?

I've posted four posts yet not one reply. Is anyone using FW800 with any success with PT or PT LE? Please, someone with a heart reply!!

By moving to FW800 would it possibly resolve all the conflicts I've been having with my 002rack and my external FW400 drive?

i am hoping to pick up a 9 pin to 6 pin cable this weekend, or perhaps i'll hold off and order from granite digital

then i'll reply

personally i have no conflicts and i have other fw400 devices, lacie d2 drive, lacie d2 burner, lino scanner, dv deck, ipod.

delete the volume.ddb files everywhere (including the ones for removable media), and trash the reccommended prefs, as per suggested by digi.

this once helped me out a bit.

also try starting the mac, then restarting before doing any work, this has helped my scsi (sometimes fw) , drives properly register with the os.

Yes - I'm using FW800 with a La Cie 500 GB "Big Disk". It just works. I did install the firmware update at the time i upgraded to 10.3.1 and haven't had a problem,

Thanks JMP. I'm hoping I'll have the same success with the G5....so many unknowns it seems with the new G5's....
