Aurora Igniter video card/PT6
Is anybody using an Igniter card with PTLE?
Now that the Fuse card is no longer manufactured, does the Igniter card work OK? Will it work in OSX? I have a JVC SR VS30 DV deck to import my video to DV QT, and it works well. I want to put the video onto a TV monitor for playback and I know that PT6 is supposed to include a Firewire out to monitor feature. Firewire-ing DV out creates a delay and you have to offset the audio tracks to compensate. PTLE 5.1 (unlike the TDM version) does not have an offset feature and you have to slip around until it synch's up. Will PT6LE include this function, I wonder - If enhanced video features are added, will we get a SMPTE timeline? Does the Igniter card avoid this delay when playing out to a TV monitor - if so, is that what makes it worth having over a deck or firewire convertor box? Best wishes, MHVoiceUK http://www.voice-overs.cc |
