-9060 Error on Destructive Record
Sorry if this has been discussed before.
When using Destructive Record, I get the following error: "DAE error -9060 was encountered" I have trashed the database and preferences. Pro Tools 7.4cs2 I can recreate it 100%.
It also creates a nasty crack in the recording. Could someone confirm, that this happens on their system as well. I've set my pre and post-roll to 1 second each. Input mode doesn't make a difference. Thanks for your help. Timothy |

Re: -9060 Error on Destructive Record
I cannot reproduce this with the steps you've given - I can record over the previous selection without an error every time.
Have you tried recording to a different drive? Are there any virus protection or other background apps running? |

Re: -9060 Error on Destructive Record
Thanks for your reply.
Different drive has the same result, unfortunately. No other applications are running in the background. Quote:
Eg my file starts at TC 10:00:00:00 and is 2 seconds long. If I now record (in destructive mode) starting at 10:00:01:00 for 3 seconds, the error message will appear. Sometimes the message comes while in post-roll, so the recording is finished, but still there is a crack in the recording. PT 7.4cs2 Session is in 48kHz, 24 bit, aif Mac Os X Version 10.4.11 Thanks for your help, Timothy |

Did this just start happening or did something change on your system between when it was working and when you started seeing the errors? Does this happen on more than one system, or is it only on this system that you're seeing the problem? |

It does happen on both our systems. We've changed all sorts of settings in the playback engine, tried different session settings (44.1kHz, 16 bit), ADC on and off - but the error message remains the same. It is 100% reproducable, even with one mono track recording silence (without routing inside Pro Tools). We'll keep on trying. Maybe removing all plug ins will work. Timothy |

Re: -9060 Error on Destructive Record
I stopped in to see if you had any other clues that may help us narrow down the problem
Can anyone else who may be reading this reproduce the problem? I'm wondering if it's only you (unlikely that it may be that you'd have it on 2 systems simultaneously), or if others are experiencing this as well.. |

Re: -9060 Error on Destructive Record
We've narrowed it down.
The problem is that our sessions use aif. With wav(bwf) we can record in destructive record without any errors. Thanks for your help, Timothy |

Digi,
can you confirm that this is the case on your system as well? Thanks, Timothy |

Re: -9060 Error on Destructive Record
That was it - I've been able to reproduce and we'll get this logged and looked at.

Thanks Digi.
We've changed our templates to BWF(.WAV) now. Best regards, Timothy |
