I had pt6.9 002rack I then upgraded to the 7 now ableton wont work and sample tank t racks amplitude wont show up in the plugins, do I need to move some folders?

I had the same problem. If you go to IK Multimedia page and look at the FAQ section, it talks about this and how to fix it. It involves coping some files into the Digi Plug-Ins folder.
