002R Wont Load.. Stuck with Red (mute light) on

I was using my 002R yesterday, when it just stopped, made a soft noise then it just stopped working. It displayed a red light on the mute button above the 1394 on the front panel. I tried disconnecting everything and reconnecting, but it is still stuck when I try to load it. Anyone have this happen to them before? What does that red signal light mean? Any ideas greatly appreciated

Sounds like the power harness issue. Very common.
Call Digidesign for a replacement.

You should be able to get it working temporarily by opening the unit and reseating the power harness. (Pull it off and put it back on again).

When you open the unit up, you will see a ribbon cable with about 5 connectors on it. That is your power harness..

i'm having the same exact problem! what is the number we should call? it's been over a year so i can't call the standard tech support, and i don't wanna pay $3 a minute.
