update 6.7,TRacks... request new Authorization???

dear all, anyone who have idea y I update to LE6.7, the amplitube, T-racks...also need NEW Authorization????
Only Sample Tank don't need...WHY????

my 2 cents on this - just bitching a little...the authorization process for IK's stuff is a PAIN IN THE #^@*!
If it weren't for fact that they came bundled with my 002r and have occasionally given me free upgrades, I would be happy not to deal with them.
yeah, seems like you need a new authorization # every time you reboot.

I agree, their authorisation process is the by far the most frustrating I've ever had to deal with. I only got three authorization codes when i bought my mbox factory bundle and I've upgraded my computer twice since i bought it. Guess I'm screwed if ever I upgrade my computer again...

I asked them about a similar situation and they said that if it looks to be a legit scenario re: upgrades/crossgrades, whatever, then they'll just release more codes into your user account.

If this is true (and we'll find out if my Amplitube wants another code sometime for any reason) then I have no problem with it. Beats having to insert a CD I forgot to bring or using up a USB port...

Lots of protools users these days are already using up a usb port for an ilok anyway. From what i can gather ilok's are pretty secure and these days they seem to becoming somewhat of a standard. I don't understand why IK Multimedia wouldn't try to catch up to all the other companies out there by offering their existing users (and future users) an ilok authorisation for the products they've already bought.

They're just paranoid about giving us extra codes 'less we bring down the Western economy. Seeing as their auth. codes only work on one machine at a time via the machine code, it really is paranoia. And my 'Tube has run out of codes, so I just sctrached it (it's rubbish).
